I am a big supporter of Dawson on this sight. Most reasonable fans admit he has very good boxing skills and shows a lot of heart in the ring when facing adversity. But this question has nothing to do with his talent.

Is Chad Dawson boring or not?

Not to me, in fact I'd say he's one of the most exciting fighters in the game IMO (excluding him in the last 3 rounds)

If you like boxing you reach the point where his fights are nothing close to boring. The Johnson fight was great, both Tarver fights were good,so were Ruiz and Mendoza,Harding and Adamek were a bit slower but nothing real bad.It many times depends on the opponent and the style. To the casual fan he might be boring but not to me...so no.

Dawson-Tarver always makes for an ugly fight. He has plenty of enjoyable fights.

Nah, he's flashy. That speed and combination punching (even if he takes many breaks) is always eye catching.

If you ever felt like he was in danger of KO'ing his opponent that would make even more drama, but he's certainly not boring.

No he's not. Like everybody he's got room for improvement but not boring. 2 fighters with really good D can make for a not as exciting fight.

He isnt boring. The problem is that he simply fights with ZERO intensity. He fights when he has to, to win rounds, to score points. He has no killer instinct and he seems genuinely bored at times.

When Tarver was throwing combos, I could figure out what the **** Chad was doing. He just kept catching them on the gloves. Backed up. Caught some punches. Okay, Tarver was tired, so then he came back, threw combos

It made no sense. If he had kept up the pace he could have had Tarver wreeling in 6 rounds. Instead, he seemed content to simply cruise and drag out the fight.

dude he was fighting against Antonio Tarver, what do you expect? Watch his fights against Eric Harding, Tomasz Adamek, Jesus Ruiz, Epifaniao Mendoza, and Glen Johnson then tell me if he's boring.
