He has beaten Glen Johnson, Tarver and Adamek. Adamek is considered no 1 at 200 and will fight Hopkins. Johnson and Tarver has beaten Roy Jones. Dawson is not big now, but still has his '0', and has good names on his record. To me the man who beat the man is worthy of a mention. Where will he be in a few years if he keeps up this momentum?
he's already in my top 10 p4p due to the names you just listed...has the potential to be #1 p4p...Cloud is a threat though...
IMO Dawson is already a top 10 P4P. He's still young and will only get better. Dawson's big problem is that 175 is such a weak division and there's no one there of note right now other than Hopkins who has no interest in fighting him. Dawson should move down to 168 and try and fight the big names there.
I think he's somewhere between 9-12 right now and can go higher if anyone will fight him. Would love to see him fight Kessler, because I think Chad is the only American with a good shot to beat him.
Dawson is not a future P4Per, he is a present P4Per. He is not quite top 10 yet, at least in my opinion, but he is getting close. I have him #12 P4P right now, which is pretty good already. He can work his way up in the near future.
He too early start to cheery picking his opponents, I can understand he was ducking Diaconu because he could get more money fighting Tarver but giving undeserved rematch to Tarver again indicates that he is all over the money now and he will fade into the gray soon.
Im a Dawson fan, but i dont think he will be top dog. Well he might get there, but i dont think he will stay there, because of his chin.
He's getting close to my top 10. Tarver rematch won't do much to move him up but one more fight after that against a solid opponent I'll probably have him there. Trouble is that LHW is pretty thin now. If Chad would be comfortable to make 168 that would be great with the other fighters there. He said he could fight at 168 but then his promoter said he would not fight below 175 but I tend to believe the fighter in these cases.
