Couldn’t have that, imagine the ignominy, not only for Chad, but for the HBO commentators, watching a fight with a guy who’s name they’d struggle to pronounce, and worse still, he might actually win…..and obviously he has no name recognition in the US, I mean no-one has even said Calzaghe’s ducking him yet.

B-Hop put on 15 pounds in 6 months before fighting Tarver and this was seen as proof his losses to Taylor were cause he struggled to make the weight. The pundits also banged on about how good his team must be for him to put that on and still look in shape. (Adamek had to put on more in less time).

I actually think Chad looks like he could, eventually, go places, imo, he could be around for another 10 years, matching him up with Calzaghe now could well be the worst thing for him (Ala Jeff Lacy).

36yo or not, you, at the very least, would have to fight 3 mins a round against Calzaghe. Or knock him out and I really can't see Chad doing either.

    Great post! :good

Fantastic point about BHop adding weight and what that meant to the 'experts.' You just don't hear anything about the Adamek weight gain after the Dawson fight. Oh, well. That's why there's ESB.

I agree with you -- I think Dawson will be around for a long time, winning a lot of fights. I do think he is likely in store for a KTFO by or 2, though.

If you can't go hard for 3 minutes a round for 12 rounds against Joe, you have no shot. Dawson would be hard pressed to KO Calzaghe, so his taking time off of rounds and overall passivity would be like a red cape for Joe's attack.

Ruiz was **** yea. But Medoza if you knew anything was a late replacement for DIaconu who pulled out 2 week before his fight with Chad.

Yes, and one fighting at 174 starved pounds. I wonder how much power Adamek lost by cutting so much weight? Maybe I should ask the Roy fans about Tarver I and they can give me an idea of the earth-moving destruction that Adamek's body may have been coping with.

If he was so starved then how come he dropped an extra pound??? Figure if he was starved he'd be right on the limit.:think

Oh and Roy actually had a fight at 198 pounds and was solid muscule being in fighting shape....... Adamek on the other hand I doubt was all muscule.

Roy looked good at 193. Not his real weight, but it was good.

As far as how Adamek looked after putting back on the 24 pounds, see post #15. Nice KO for Tomasz -- looks like the extra weight did some good, huh?

Chad Dawson has 1 prime fighter on his ledger and that is Adamek

Really mate, putting that into a debate about boxing....best analogy I can think is it's like trying to play a VHS tape in your DVD player.

    Keep taking the tablets.

Yep, I'm wrong, judges are wrong, commentators were wrong, everyone in the world was wrong except you.

I don't know why they even bother having the fights any more, why not just ask you instead....you can say "Calzaghe's ****, all 44 different opponents he faced were ****" and that's that.

Obviously that counts for more than the fights themselves actually do.
