Is Chambers counting on Balco?

    I read this post on the front page of ESB:

    Fight Aficionado
    Here is the LA Times on Chambers, which NO boxing news site has reported: "BALCO was raided by federal investigators in 2003 and Conte later pleaded guilty to steroid distribution and money laundering... Conte has now re-emerged with a new firm called SNAC (Scientific Nutrition for Advanced Conditioning) in San Carlos, and in the last year has started working with a small stable of pro athletes... Conte said he's provided his nutritional supplements to Ward and other athletes, including heavyweight boxer Eddie Chambers, who will fight Wladimir Klitschko for a world title in March... Chambers says he uses many Conte products, from energy shakes to pills that help him recover from weight-lifting sessions and allow him to sleep better. He said he plans to use IHT training before the Klitschko bout.

    What does this mean? Is Chambers counting on steroids to win him the fight? No matter how many chemicals Chambers takes, it will not be enough to win him the fight. It will give him energy to use his volume punching, but he will still get hit.

    Yes, I agree. But chemicals like that have had some bad publicity the last few years. Vlad Vs. Chambers will be like Vlad Vs. Byrd, except Byrd was better fighter than Chambers.

    I would assumr that is someone wants to use steroids, they wouldn't go to a company that has been busted for steroids and had all this publicity. I would think athletes want their steroid use to go unnotices and try to get their hands on them "Evan Fields" - style.

    Good thread Farmy, and you might ask if Chambers stablemate Ward didnt taste some of the golden juice prior to his fight with Kessler.
    What a bunch of lowlife rotten cheaters, they and their disgusting manager Goosen should be banned for life from boxing!!!

    Shane Mosley was linked with Balco. If Chambers said he used Balco's products, he's a fool.
