Is Charlie Mitchell worthy of top 100 P4P placing?

    Tracy callis ranks Mitchell very high and why not.....excellent at both bareknucle and gloves

    I agree that including Mace would open a whole can of worms, that I would prefer not to open, for the reasons that you have given.

    What you have to not e about Mace, is that Joe Goss was not the best or brightest contender of his era, and he went on to win the lineal title in the next, while well past his prime!

    Unless we are going to argue for a Walcott style pleading for Goss, Mace was obviously dominating a strong era!

    Mitchell may have been a standout in his own time, but to include him in an all-time top-100 P4P list... you'd have to believe, boxing hasn't evolved in the 100+ years since then. An idea I find hard to swallow!
