Ive never seen this kid fight, his resume is

= 23
and his only notable win is
Harry Joe Yorgey, who recently beat Ronald Hearns.

I think Chavez jr gets too much hate, sure he has not stepped up but he did have a limited amateur background so i could sort of give him a pass for that, but i think he is pushing it too far now the guy needs to step up he has already had 40 fights.

I will say one thing, he gives value for money in terms of excitement but level of competition is mediocre to say the least.

I enjoy watching Chavez jr.,his fights are exciting and his level of comp ain't that bad.

Only reson why he's figting these guys is that he turned pro at 17 without any amateur background.

But he has about a year max of fighting these guys.He should step it up.

If Jr. get's past this opponent, I think it's time to throw some former champ meat at him.
(See if he can chew his own food)

154lbs has a resident former champion in Vernon Forrest who is waiting for someone?
(Don't know who, But **** he ain't fighting nobody it looks like)

That said, VF defo is still a player, If Jr. could get with him.
We will see what baby boy is made of.

I wanted R. Hearns for Jr. but Yorgey ****ed that up!
**** it, Why not Yorgey?
(I take back my VF wish....)

Tricky situation for Jr.

He has the name, so he get's more attention than he should at this stage. Given his lack of experience and relative youth he should be cut a lot more slack regarding opponents and rate of progression than most others. However, if at 40 fights and at his physical peak he cannot handle a step up in competition, I fear that he never will. So now probably is a good time to start moving on and gradually really testing him.
