At least fight an Alfonso Gomez for God sakes. If they are afraid of him you can tell what they think of him.

I don't even consider the dude a prospect, heck at least prospects step it up and its not gonna be the case with Jr. He is not going to be fed to the wolves.

Everytime he fights its more like an unsanctioned special attraction, a sideshow. The selling point is that he carries his daddy's name... that's it.

He headlined PPV's at one point. I would call that hype.

His pubic hair has more talent than your entire family. A lot of people hate on him, because he is rich, famous and talented at such a young age. He will win the World Title within 2 years.

Chavez jr actually looked better to me in my eyes at least than in previous fights. He was alot more active, threw more combinations, countered back fast when he got hit instead of just taking the shots and he even improved his ''d'' a bit...This was prior to round 7. I think everything i listed above contributed to his sorry ass conditioning because he wasn't used to using so much enery. What he really needs is a trainer like nacho or capatillo in his corner instead of ''yes men''.

I don't think people Chavez for what he is. He's not cocky, he's a pretty good (young) fighter and he's always an entertaining fight.

It's not his fault his dad is an icon.

its hard for him too b/c he is a different type of fighter than his father. all of the comparisons will thusly be unfair and untrue

That was clear long ago for me when he fought Molina.
