haven't some of his fights been ppv in the states?i think that maybe the reason.id sure be pissed if i was expected to shell out to see a fighter like him vs a nobody.kinda like amie khan over here.
personally i like him.not all fighters are world beaters, but he does have heart and can take a shot.id like to see him vs john duddy.

Ok, Oscarsexuals, lets go over a few things.

    1. JC Superstar Jr. needs a CONDITIONING COACH. He was the **** out of shape last time out against Vanda, and fought pretty good on Reserve Fuel. His body looks soft. He was about 164. He needs to be running in High Altitude Mountains in the AM and the Treadmill in the PM. No more Tecates and Senoritas. Time to train. 152 on November 1st.

    2. He needs a DEFENSIVE COACH. Jesus Rivero or McGirt. He needs to learn how to dodge, parry, evade, block and slip and bob and weave.

    3. Lets step it up after Vanda. An NABF belt for Starters in his 1st post Vanda rematch fight. 10 Ten guys all next year, and a Title shot, November of 2009.

    4. Strength Training. His body is big boned, and he is strong as a bull, but he needs some work in the weight room. Lots of Core Strength stuff.

    i like the kid...
people need to stop watching him and expect sr's soul to come out of him...he's his own person and as of late, he needs to work on his conditioning and head movement...other then that, he's coming along great, and you can't honestly say he's the same.....

imagine him in the margarito camp.....WOW, imaging what capatillo would do to that kid.....he would be a ****en monster

As long as his name is Chavez Jr. he will always be considered over hyped. I think he needs to step up his level of competition.

Chavez, Jr. is a good fighter, but he is learning on the job. His name creates problems though.
