around at the moment yes i know it isnt hard to become more skilled than he was before roach but i am quite impressed how quickly hes picking it up and using it in fights and the fact that when the times right he still loves a good tear up yes a pritected fighter who shouldnt have a title to his name just yet but definitely entertaining and if he keeps improving got some good fights ahead of him in the future

He gets far too much abuse. He is a good solid contender, is improving and is fun to watch. It's not the kids fault he got given a belt. I agree he's improved and I find him very enjoyable to watch. Give me a Chavez Jr fight to watch over a Ward fight anyday

yeah also what i like about him is how other roach fighters follow everything roach tells them down to the tee were as chavez yes he listens to it and follows it but he will always trade and become more relentless if needed he seems to have a pretty good boxing brain

Ive been saying for some time that he is a solid fringe world level operator and is still only 25. The hate he gets is him having that WBC pokemon diamond belt

Don't forget he didn't have an amateur career. Of course 90% of that undefeated record he has consists of bums but nevertheless is worth noting that he became pro without an amateur experience and the kid is making evolving. You gotta love he is a brawler also.

Under Roach now, he's totally different from the undisciplined, hands-down, slam-bang brawler he was the last time.

Chavez is a solid MW, but a huge MW. How much longer can he make 160, IDK, and when he moves up to SMW, how long will he maintain his undefeated record.

Improved yes, but at 25/26 y/o he's still growing into an adult frame, and when he's 30, he's not gonna be a MW any longer, and likely to find himself KOd by the stronger guys in the larger classes.

Hes improving with every fight. The kid is growing on me, although he did get some gift decisions. Considering his lack of amatuer experience hes moving along well and has proven to be a tough fighter and has heart.
