Is Chisora best marketed average boxer ever?

Yeah, I gather the EBU made Chisora vs Helenius for the vacant European Heavyweight championship, previously held by Erkan Teper.

Any ideas as to when this fight could happen? (If it happens.)

 

I believe he is definitely up there. I was very surprised at just how much money he's made relative to his skill level. He's made in excess of ten million dollars and his skills are upper journeyman level. He's not a gatekeeper or a contender, but he's getting paid. That's sort of a testament to how overpaid heavyweights are. I would be surprised if Roman Gonzalez makes as much money as Derrick Chisora by the time they both retire.

 

Just because he's made 10m doesn't mean he has that. Look how broke Haye is and he's made way more.

 

His record is pretty much the definition of a gatekeeper. If he aint a gatekeeper than who is.

Roman gonzales wouldn't last 1 round with dellboy so its fair enough imo.
I personally don't see why we have weight classes below 135lbs, but could concede to 122ish i suppose. Below 122 is just pure sideshow midget fighting.

 

So his win streak is against fighters right at his level. He's the definition of a journeyman, he might actually be one level below journeyman.
