Is Chisora/Fury really a stadium fight?

Would catch on with the public, much as Haye/Chisora did. Both fighters are not shy in front of a camera, and would attract alot of the sun reading casuals aswell as being an excellent barometer of both fighters progress.

 

To be fair it a fight between Tyson who's not been tested yet and Dereck who was tested and came up short, I personally think tyson could in 12/18 months become a world champ

With the right building up this fight could,I think,be really big.But maybe not yet.Through no fault of his own,Fury has gone off the boil,and needs one if not 2 warm ups.Chisora is presumably highly rated due to the Scott win plus his defences.It appears Dereks manager has a plan,but whether it comes off or not is anybody's guess.Im not jumping on Billys bandwagon,Ive said it before,a Fury who is not ring rusty stops Derek.

Not a stadium but it would fill the MEN or O2 it's a big big fight with two engaging personalities Tyson is a fantastic self promoter by the end of the promotion it would pull in year high ratings on regular Sky boxing IMO

 

Why not? Which heavies in the UK warrant stadium if not them?

 

If Derek defends his Euro successfully next time I think it would only take 2 wins for Tyson,the 2nd against somebody like Browne,and no reason its not as big as Chisora/Haye.As has been pointed out,these 2 will sell it.

Both have vastly improved since there first fight, gained more experience and have got themselves in far better shape.

Both of them would be up for it big time, especially if it is an eliminator.

 

Agreed. Chisora last time out was disappointing and in poor shape but he seems very focused now and his efforts in his big fights despite losing are very promising.
I believe this is a much bigger and more important fight this time around, but not a stadium fight. Would be great if it happens and is on C5 again.

 

I don't think it's a massive fight. Fury won fairly convincingly 1st time out and only time they've caught the public eye is in fights with Haye. Chisora isn't really a draw as proved by copper box attendances. Fury I reckon might sell a few in Manchester but it will end up in London. I honestly don't even think it sells out the 02

 

Of cause this is a stadium fight, dosen't have to fill a stadium...selling 20-25,000 would be enough which i think it would easily do.

The banter and hype created between Fury and Chisora would get loads of media and help push the fight and after Khan, Haye and Froch these two have the biggest profiles in British Boxing.

As soon as the fight is announced, i'll want to snap up tickets.

 

Wasn't great banter of hype first time around really, Chisora was quiet and overweight. This time it seems Fury is out of shape...plenty of time to get himself sorted though if it's happening this summer.

 

True.I think Fury needs 2 fights before this one happens now due to his time out of the ring.This Haye business has a lot to answer for.But Chisora appears a lot livelier as a fighter and as a personality.Its as though he's had a shot of something up his backside,from before the Vitali fight.And of course,Fury will just be himself.I think the build up would be great this time,though Id really like Tyson to beat a top American first.But if the rumours are true,this fight should happen later in the year,I think.
