I have just realised my error and you are in fact correct Jim, Frankie never held the European title (his fight with Leonard was for the vacant European title. A title I believed Gavin had won prior to his fight with Bundu)

I guess with me claiming him to be a European champ (when he wasn't) and you claiming that he was domestic level (when he had defended his Commonwealth title... We'll ignore the WBO Intercontinental belt) that makes us even.

Worth repeating the above. A word that shows to me a lack of respect for the sport in whole.

    :D

Hey Ducklerr mate, when I am wrong l find that it is best to admit my error (too many on here refuse to do so... And that is usually makes things worse).

    How you doing buddy?

Algeri is a very good local draw. And a solid guy, he's fought for his wins.

I'm amazed no one has unwrapped this post yet. Allow me to be the first then.

First off, let's start with the simplest error. Kovalev does not fight from 160-168 I'm sure you are aware of this, no harm there. Now we have that out the way...I'm as big a GGG/Kovalev fan as you will find but if those 2 are elite and you are saying there are ZERO elite fighters from 100-154 besides Manny and Floyd then you must watch very little of the lower weight classes. Off the top of my head I'll go with...Rigo, Chocaltito, Inoue, Uchiyama, Miura, Yamanaka, Walters, maybe Crawford, Loma and I may be forgetting some. You may be waiting for some of these men to accomplish more (namely Loma, Inoue, Crawford)...but certainly Loma and Inoue, and maybe Crawford as well have proven as much in 5 and 8 fights respectively as GGG and Kova have in 32 and 28.

I don't know what your definition of A level is...but if Algieri is in it then you must have a lot of A level fighters. Every one of the guys I named plus many, many more are certainly more 'A level' than he is. He's a good fighter who takes a lot more flak than he deserves. But if he's A level then there's around 75-100 A level fighters in boxing.

I don't mean to rip you, that's just been itching at me since I read that post.

Haha I like to abide by the same principle. Though don't expect to receive similar acknowledgement of errors from other posters

I'm well mate! Just mugging about the office, making younger and smarter people do the work I ought to be doing. How bout yourself?
