    Lol at past athletes.

    Amateur athletes from the 30's running 100m on grass or cinder, can't go nearly as fast as modern professionals on synthetic tracks.

    Let's make a list of all the 6-2, 210 pound southpaws that the previous generations fought and beat. It seems like there was a post just a week or so ago about Joe Louis being abused by a lightheavy southpaw in sparring and then saying he'd never fight one in a real fight? Byrd was beaten in his prime by WK and Ibeabuchi, but most of the old time heavyweights wouldn't have gotten into a ring with Byrd to find out if they could beat him or not. In the "good old days", southpaws had to be turned around or they couldn't get fights.

    One thing about the modern heavyweights, they'll get in a ring with a southpaw, they aren't afraid of them. Sometimes they lose to one, but at least they will fight them. Ali was the first to give a southpaw a title fight, he fought Mildenberger and Dunn.

    So can we agree that Byrd is the GOAT...there are clearly 5 decades that would have avoided him, no?

    Yes, Joe Louis is the standard for every single champion before Byrd

    You done? This post was meant as a joke

    btw there were plenty of relevant southpaws like young corbett lll, tiger flowers and Freddie Miller. Southpaws were just extremely uncommon due to superstition and general disapproval of southpaws, many lefties trained as orthodox fighters.

    Michael Moorer has just beaten Ali and Louis....well to be fair they would not dare to meet him in a ring....so now Chris Byrd my number 1 ATG is about to face Michael Moorer my number 2 ATG HW.... who takes this one

    I competed against Willingboro when Carl Lewis was there....he is overrated too. But his sister Carol was hot! I wonder what happened to her?

    I don't know about Carl, but I agree with the sister. Most sprinter chicks are hot

    I didn’t actually race against him. He was a wimp and had no endurance. He could only run the 100 and 200, while us real athletes were doing the 1600 and 3200. He was a chump who would never make it in the 15 rd era....let alone unlimited rounds.

    But for real Carl and Timmy Smith and co were a beast team. I was just a freshman but had never seen anything on the level of those dudes...

    But carol was hot! Not sure what happened to her

    I almost used that for a 4 round fighter illustration...but then I got sidetracked thinking about Carol!?? Maybe I will have to see if she is on Facebook
