He could have been European level had he taken the sport seriously and learned the fundamentals with a pro coach.

He took instead the short route to riches and banked on his daddy's name and fame, and now at 28 is destined to crash and burn.

Too late to reinvent yourself at this age.

He will beat some more scrubs, maybe retire Degale, then get stopped the first time he steps to world level.

He lacks basic boxing fundamentals that every elite fighter fighting at the very highest level SHOULD have...... he just relies on his work rate and stamina he can get by winning fights against gatekeepers with just those attributes but if he steps up to real world level he will come short.

He has no clue how to work his way in to range. No use of the jab, no real feints, no baiting. Just a lunge or tries to simply walk in. No cuteness or technique. I said his fast combinations would look wild & crude, that proved to be true. He's a workhorse with a nice uppercut, that's his ball game.

He's been sussed by two very good boxers in BJS/Groves. He'd beat Traux, but everyone else at 168 even remotely world class will beat Eubank. He's crude, & even then he's not a devastating puncher which might make the opposition fight a little scared/timid. His footwork/balance is atrocious, I mean really bad.

    He's average. Simple.

Im not sure if I like the Kid but he showed heart last night
I think he will be the Amir Khan of the middleweight division There will always be good fights and good pay days along with a fan base Lets not forget he has a casual fan base too
He has a future but him and his team need to understand that he is not the real deal and things need to change
I have a lot of respect for Ronnie Davis but his corner needs to change .

The best trainers for him in my opinion
    Robert Mccracken (too busy)
    Freddie Roach(train in the US)
Barry Hunter ( does a good job train in US)
    Jimmy and Mark Tibbs
Dom Ingle (If they would have him)
    Hattons Gym

    My best bet for Eubank
Richie Woodhall ( He needs to stop messing around with that footballer and send him to the Repton) !
Richie looks a good trainer and it would be nice if he could show us his coaching skills and inpart some sanity into Eubank Crazy but I think it might work !

Yes Eubank Jr is good. Just not that good. His style will overwhelm similar fighters with similar styles but a quality Boxer is going to make him look bad. The things he does well were taken right away from him with Groves jab and follow ups so he had to abandon what he does well and swing away in the hope of a KO.

I didn't think Groves looked that special, either. It's just Jr didn't know how to slip, didn't use movement effectively and looked quite slow overall. He didn't throw many jabs or land many punches clean. Groves's jab was a problem from the get go. Eubank just wanted to bull rush a naturally bigger man and it didn't work out. The fight wasn't bad but i felt Groves was perhaps a bit overly needlessly tentative at times when he could've probably gone hell for leather and stopped Jr.

Jr needs a new trainer and maybe take the shopworn DeGale or Truax and go from there. Or go back down to middleweight and work his way back to title contention.

I think he should definitely work on his movement and jab with a good trainer who gives him proper tactics. His movement to me could be faster as he's always setting/resetting his feet rather than moving around with fleet of foot. If someone has a better jab than him he needs to resort to something which can negate the jab which he doesn't know how to do. No plan b, c,..etc... Just wild lunging, losing balance, open to counters, and setting his feet quickly which leaves him vulnerable to a solid jab.

I think skill wise Jr is a tier below the top guys in the division and size wise he gives up too much also at super middleweight. If he gets a new trainer who helps him and smooths out his flaws he can come back better.

    Of course Eubank is good.

He's got a good basic game and is physically in tremendous shape. He's beaten everybody except the creme de la creme. What he needs is to ditch his bat**** crazy dad and find himself a proper trainer that teaches him to fight with angles or from behind a jab. Teaches him proper distance control.

He could come back strong from this.

But right now it's clear that he's a step behind the best.

not world class, world contender category, will always come up short against a superior boxer.
