You’re a casual if you believe he ever should have been near a ring with any version of GGG Given the second Benn fight, I don’t think anyone would expect him not to take a dive vs Paul if the money was right
I'm fairly certain even the first Benn fight earnt him more than what was on offer for GGG Brook took the same deal which was a reported 2.5 million plus PPV extras Losing to GGG would have harmed his earning potential moving forward and possibly left him damaged Eubank has been a bit of a genius with how he has managed his career.. In terms of paydays anyhow
Eubank lost his pen when he was supposed to take the fight and sign the contract So if him backing out makes me a casual, sure
Time to call it a day, had a decent career and made coin, when it comes to fighters like Jr, he's getting out with a healthy bank balance and more importantly his faculties intact. He's 36, struggles badly to make 160 now anyway and at 168 he's simply going to find it hard against the bigger, younger fighters.
I really hope Benn and Eubank have sensible advice and invest their money. They both seem good at spending it.
He's done okay since Naseem Hamed told him to finish. He's made a lot of extra money for someone who is not good at boxing. But now he's well past it.
