"unequivocally the no1 in the division"

    no--not even close

to begin with, you are aware that Eubank vs Groves is just the tournament semi-final?

the other semi-final is Callum Smith (no 2 seed) and Juergen Braehmer, who moved down from LHW for the tournament; plenty of people like Smith to win the tournament

and that's just within the WBSS, there's quite a few SMW elites who did not participate in the tournament:
    • David Benavidez (WBC champion)
    • Zurdo Ramirez (WBO champ)
    • James Degale (former IBF champ)
    • Jessie Hart
    • Anthony Dirrell
    • Andre Dirrell
    • Ronald Gavril

in fact, of the four major belts, the WBSS tournament winner will only end up with one of them (WBA, which Groves currently holds)

even if Jr beats Groves, which i doubt, i don't think Jr would stand a chance against against Degale, Benavidez, or Ramirez

Will jr Stay at 168 now? Or go back to 160? Groves is huge, so is smith, the Mexican champ etc etc....might be worth his while going back to 160 for smaller opponents.

De Gale is finished mate - no coming back from the injury and being trashed by a can

Anthony Dirrell would get pumped easily

I want Groves to win but I also agree iF JRN does it he will be up there with the best in the world but I feel he would also need to win a convincing rematch with BJS at some point

Lets just say though if JNR generates 100 million he will still have to claim working tax credit due to his low income
His dad is probably on 85% as he will claim it was he who won the fight .
If think the authorities will catch up with them for slave labour Ronnie Davis is forced to do it for free

The manner of victory/loss is very important. If the loser is destroyed completely then he is in serious trouble career wise. Obviously groves could move to light heavy, cej maybe back to middle but it would be very bad for him if either gets totally dominated and destroyed tonight.

Look with respect J, I like Groves but beating him doesn't make anybody P4P.

It would b a very good win and he has a genuine claim for being number 1 in the division but Jr is nowhere P4P status.

I'm not saying he couldn't be but this run of results isn't P4P stuff.

Agreed i will be a very good win for Eubank Jr if he wins but not an amazing or great one because Groves has already lost to the two best fighters he's fought, Froch and Jack.

The names you listed have zero claim of being no1.

    Who have they actually beaten?

Degale might have until Truax destroyed him, other than that they haven't got the resume to be on top.

Gavril and Hart ffs have beaten nobody whatsoever. Why did you add them?

Benavidez is just paper champion and arguably lost to Gavril.

Froch and Jack are both p4p fighters

Both barely squeaked by a green George and this is absolutely prime George

Can't go back to 160 as he cannot beat bjs, canelo or ggg. No jab, can't box on the back foot, posted before saying stop being a greedy twat with daddy and get a coach.
