How does what you wrote there correlate with Benavidez just beating the number 2 guy in the division and sending Canelo a 45m contract? Do you enjoy living in an alternate reality?

If benavidez ever fights Canelo it will look like Manny v Oscar, and reynoso probable knows it.

He's fought at most two good opponents his entire career and fights once a year. Sure, he wants a Canelo payday, everyone does.

For a while he was one of the most active and ambitious young fighters. Then he got stripped under BS circumstances and lost his drive. The fact that Caleb Plant is in even worse condition doesn't excuse what he's (not) doing.

his last few fights he broke Ryder nose and dropped em 2x, before that he beat up GGG in a easy win GGG still got a chin nobody has even knock him down and he dominated easy, he loss to Bivol who was a LIGHT-HEAVY WEIGHT in a fight he was supposed to lose in the first place. Before that he KO’d Plant in 11rds for undisputed,

obviously at 33 you not gonna be the same as when you 26, but he still whooping ass easily outside of Bivol, like you said who is at 168?
Morrell I think could be dangerous after a few more fights, but Andrade gets beat up and runs, Jermall gets beat up and might get stopped if he really presses, Benavidez gets stopped, berlanga gets beat up easy, munguia gets stopped, unless he fights Bivol or Beterbiev at 175 more than likely he gonna whoop all these guys. Although if Callum upsets Beterbiev in August don’t sleep on Canelo vs Smith II for 175 Lineal.

I think his hardest fight might be Jermell he’s a high quality opponent, I think he loses a Majoirty decision vs Canelo 7-5/6-6/9-3/ you know he always got that one crazy card that’s gonna make people complain.

You must be new to boxing. Go and look at canelos best opponents in his first 40 fights, or Crawfords first 27 fights and you will see Benavidez has a better resume than they do at the same stages of their careers. Most fighters don't even have 1 good win after 27 fights.

It took canelo 42 pro fights until he fought a caleb Plant level fighter in Trout.

Canelo could not stop Ryder but he stops Benavidez? lmao. He is too scared to even fight Benavidez, so even HE, does not believe you.

That’s what I’m saying, since Bivol the drop off has been sharp.

The GGG win was a glorified spar and he gassed towards the end.

Against Ryder don’t forget he is a very limited opponent whose best years are long behind him.

I agree, there are many fights he will still win but if you were to put this Canelo in with GGG from 2018, he would get killed

This is a thing, damage taken in the ring is a bigger contributer to a boxers decline than age imo.

It's the reason late starters can seem so much fresher at an older age.

it's hard to tell Canelo's shot because so many of his fights are straight up fixed

He's not shot but he is declining. Hopefully he'll go on for a couple more years and call it a career. Would hate to see a shopworn Canelo turn into an opponent. Doubt that will happen, tho.

styles make fights and dude if you think Canelo is scared of Benavidez than Benavidez is scared of the entire division considering most the guys Canelo beat David ducked them before Canelo even got to the weight… they haven’t fought because Benavidez ain’t doing ****, John freaking Ryder has faced better comp and arguably has better wins than David that is embarrassing and stuff like that is why these guys like Benavidez or Andrade get passed up.. you can’t spend your entire career ducking fight after fight trying to protect yo record and expect to get picked for a big fight.. but David has no defense no footwork homie gonna be eating shots all night

I mean, he probably has more prime behind him than ahead, but not sure I'd go as far as saying he's shot.
