The official one? I done did already. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/stephon-fulton-jr-vs-naoya-inoue.700323/
I like Ryder but his peak was the smith fight a while back and even then he’s a good 2/3 notches below the elite No two ways about it Canelo is now way past prime
you can say that but at the same time how do you really know? Say what you want but them 4 guys I named is a higher level of comp then guys like Benavidez, Morrell, Andrade, Jermall, etc have faced. You can say he not as good on eye test but he definitely earned it and is/was more tested then the rest of the “name” guys. We really don’t know what level they on because all these guys pretty sitting back taking easy fights trying to pad they record hoping they get the lotto ticket from Canelo.. I have no issue with Canelo fighting any of them guys, but fans need to start pushing these guys to stop sitting around. Every single one of Canelo last few fights, would be the best or one of the best opponents all them guys have faced.. Ryder, GGG, Bivol, Plant, Saunders, now Jermell etc.. the onus need to be on these others guys to step it up
The guy's going to get ravaged again by the next volume puncher he faces. He's awesome but he ain't great.
Just seeing Ryder being in the fight throughout the 12 rounds had me thinking that Canelo has lost his danger.
Canelo from GGG I and II would kill Canelo now, that’s how I know he’s past prime forget the opposition because like I said, there’s not really much top tier talent at MW or SMW and he could well reign for another couple of years but that doesn’t mean he isn’t past prime
Yeah the Canelo from Ggg1 was slick & slippery while hitting strong shots you can't afford to get hit with, Canelo Ggg2 was straight bulldozer while still being very quick witted in there a huge difference to what he is now currently though perhaps fighting someone like sized will bring out a hybrid version on fight night.
When did Canelo's prime end in your view? And when exactly did he become "way" past prime as opposed to just slightly past prime? Was it when he moved up to fight Bivol? Was it the hand injury that he sustained against Plant? Maybe the win over BJS was the last time Canelo truly looked prime. He did look sluggish against Plant compared to how he looked against BJS even before the hand injury. I wouldn't disagree that he's should be considered past prime at this point, but I'm not sure I agree that he's "way" past his prime. He's still close to prime in my view, and if the hand injury is healed I don't see any reason why he can't maintain his current form for many years to come, and remain "slightly past prime" (but not way past prime) for several more years.
I think GGG2 was his peak even during his SMW belt collection run, he didn’t really face anyone that great and like you say, by the time he faced Plant it was perceptible.
You are more delusional than i thought if you think Benavidez ever ducked the UK bum tour. He would beat them all on the same night, he never ducked any of them, what a ridiculous statement. Styles make fights, and ryder is the perfect style for an elite fighter to knock out he is right there to be hit. Benavidez would demolish him in a few rounds. You boast that ryder beat parker. Did you forget parker quit because of a hand injury? how is that a legit win? parker was just another soft uk can anyway. you keep saying ryder has better wins than benavidez when his best win was a shot danny jacobs, who else has he beaten of note?
benavidez didn’t even demolish Caleb plant, also didn’t he have a chance to fight Caleb in 2019 and David said no and this was AFTER Caleb slapped that man brother in front of him and David didn’t do nothing? That’s the same guy you talking about? Like dude you say all this yet who has Benavidez fought AT ALL? A recently KO’d Caleb plant that he struggled with for half the fight and couldn’t get outta there? A older Dirrell? After that is nothing but a bunch of blown up 154/160 fighters who weren’t even good at they weight division yall he giving this man all this credit but what has he actually done to be called a monster?
It’s crazy with guys like Benavidez or Andrade we always talk about what they COULD do, yet for some reason these guys never actually DO IT for real they allow fans to fight fantasy fights for them without actually fighting in the ring
