Is Nathan Cleverly a worthy World Champion?

Honest question. What do you think?

I be honest i've never been that impressed.

He's improved a lot but that doesn't mean he's world class. I don't think he's worst world champion but he's not one of best in any weight IMO.

    Lot of flaws at present..

I think he'll go onto to prove that he's one of the best in the division. He's still young at 24.

Probably will achieve the most out of FW's stable.

you seem to ask a few questions between the opening post and the poll options.

    a worthy World Champion ??...yes.

a blown up Euro Level fighter ??...no.

    is the truth ??...yes.

    is a paper champion ??...yes.

is he the best in the division..no he isnt...could he be?..time will tell, maybe he could yes....is he a worthy world belt holder, considering there are other belts occupied..yes.

It's clearly a loaded question, you obviously believe he is a worthless protected "euro bum"...... What's the point in the poll if you're not going to give proper options, he's not the best in the Division just yet, he hasn't proven himself yet, but he deserves his title as Braehmer was no better and not even willing to show up and fight :patsch

Limiting the poll options and loading the question encourages a livelier debate.

I like his work rate and hand speed
    I don't like his defence

He's probably a worthy champion. He'll give the other belt holders in the division good fights I think. The lad is only 24 aswell.

blown up Euro Level fighter who has benefited from having the right promoter and careful match making?

Well he's neither the best in the division or the above..... but your suggesting if you vote for paper champion that you agree with your above statement..... So you've made it a pointless poll more than anything.:patsch

I don't think anyone that wins a paper title in that fashion is 'worthy' of the label. Thats no slight against Cleverly. He's got a bit to do to prove himself.

Well IMO hed take Shumenov out, have a tough fight with cloud but he gets beaten by the big 3 (dawson, pascal, hopkins) Still he isnt like the 168 WBO champ, clev is exciting willing to fight anyone and i hope he does well. Clev doing good would be good for boxing, we need another star

Hmm not sure about Dawson, i think Nathan has got what it takes to beat Dawson, constant pressure and workrate, If he uses the jab a bit more with the variety of punches he`ll have Dawson bamboozled. Dawson is too lazy he showed that again the other night, he likes time to do his stuff, i dont think he`ll get that against Cleverly. Pascal and Hopkins? for now hes better staying away. cloud vs Cleverly would be good.
