http://news.boxrec.com/news/2011/degales-euro-title-tilt-set-liverpool-ppv-card It might be on 'normal Sky' of course...but if it isn't, who else needs to be on the bill to make it worth £15? Or is this fine as it is?
No not ppv worthy. Top domestic fight Bellew v Clev With Degale v average test Its not a PPV worthy card. It would need a fair bit more to be PPV worthy in all honesty.
It wouldn't surprise me if it was tbh. I don't get this ''PPV is necessary'' bollocks. I'm sure the fighters would gladly sit on their arses earning nothing because Sky won't bow to Allegedly. I'm going to this anyway so it doesn't really matter
Someone's told me that Crolla v Limond either isn't on Sky now or isn't on that date or something which perhaps leaves the window open for 'normal' Sky but I still think it'll be a PPV job, given DeGale's contract...
The general consensus around the office is that 'a tenner would be okay' but I would say myself that PPV would be totally unreasonable unless the undercard is stacked. And not stacked with mismatches :deal
Wouldn't surprise me to see this live on YT or HattonTV. They've a fair shout at making it pay with advertising etc. Agreed. The Murray/Mitchell bill on paper looked cracking, shame a couple of the fights weren't great, including one farce. Three/four genuine 50-50's and it's reasonable. When you pay £15 for a card where you look at the left hand side and see all the winners before a punch is thrown it's grating. Agreed. The best way to have built the first fight would be to get them on the same bill, wouldn't have had to be title fights, just ten rounders against anyone half decent.
