Careful that train might just hit the buffers in Belfast , besides you still got a lot of digging to do before you can buy a ticket .
Fair goes to Dib IF he does go to Belfast to fight this eliminator,( tough enough place to win in) , IF Billy does fight in Belfast there will be no doubting his ambitions or his commitment that's for sure .
Sorry to disapoint you both Ash and Josey, but Contendo's not off to sample the Guiness in Belfast! Both No.3 Daniel Ponce De Leon and No.4 Billy Dib were offered first crack at the Eliminator opportunity, however De Leon due to a Nevada suspension and Dib due to a committed date of June 2nd were not in a position to confirm intentions by the required date of last Friday. I think you'll find Jose that the article (due to time difference) ran after De Leon not being able to commit and prior to ourselves going back and advising that we couldn't take the opportunity this time due to our committed fight on June 2nd. I know De Leon wanted it and we wanted it, but due to both sets of circumstances, neither of us were able to, hence it goes down the order to Lindsay who was next cab off the rank at No.5 and whoever the highest ranked opponent under him who accepts the eliminator opportunity. The only drawback of an enforced eliminator opportunity is that you have 48hrs to accept and if you do, you have to pull out of pre-committed fights for up to a period of 9months until bout terms are reached and obviously fulfilled. Were happy to jump into the next eliminator opportunity as we have fights already planned for after June 2nd and we want to remain active. Sorry boys, next time. Could have come home via Wales and numerous pints with Mr Josey!
Thanks Contendo , I'm sure Dib will fight at the highest level sooner rather than late and hopefully in Europe , ps i prefer the beamish when over the water ..:good:
