He has treat technique with most things he does, has better power in his hands than Cain, has quick feet. I think he's gonna knock Mir out Mir is still flatfooted and stationary with his head straight up during his standup.. Poor guy seems to forget how to fight standing up when he gets into a big fight, but his Jitz is always prime. Only thing I don't like is his size, he's stuck right at the bottom weights and size of heavy, but just a little too big to go down in weight to comfortably challenge Jones. Good thing he has really nice takedowns, his natural athleticism and talent make him more well rounded than most guys.. I think he's the real deal.. Just question his size and endurance.
Nah, Cormier can make 205 relativealy easy. His is 230 without cutting weight at all. He has also stated that once he beats Mir, he is dropping down to 205 to kick Jones' ass! Cormier is the truth!
To my knowledge he's had some serious trouble cutting weight already in his career, which is why he started at heavy rather than light heavy. I could be mistaken, but organ failure comes to mind.. If it's like that, he's obviously not going to be at his best having to deal with his liver or kidneys shutting down before a fight..
yeah i think youre right, i remember the same. hopefully he'll be able to cut alright, would be fantastic to see him try and smash some Bones
He was around 250, but for his latest fight 230....but he looks no where near 10-12 per cent fat yet....so could easily go down to 220 or 215 then cut for light-heavy. Any of the boys guess Cormier current bodyfat?
Not at all. And that's honestly a huge spit in Cormier's face. Hendricks wings that sloppy (powerful) left hand around for 15 minutes, Cormier is patient and his striking improves every time we see him. Wrestling: it's not even up for debate. Cormier could very well possess the 2nd best MMA-Wrestling in the sport (behind St. Pierre). He's probably no.1 in the heavyweight division.. And COACHES the no.2 guy! (Cain Velasquez.) And Hendricks already got out wrestled by Koscheck (who Cormier coached for a while, if I'm not mistaken) and, I can't remember much, but wasn't Brennaman also doing well in the wrestling department against Hendricks before being finished?
