Sorry but Sanders is a 1 trick pony, and as such gets no love or props from me or any other rational fan.

Gee, you put Sanders' prime @ age 34 when he fought rahman and 37 vs Wlad, man... Try all the cats that ducked him, or held him back in his 20's when he was blastin' guys outta there..The Sprott KO 1 wasnt a bad win tho.

prime shape Sanders blast most outta there..clearly his staight left is on par with Klitschko and Lewis type power, and faster hands than both..

The stars werent right for him...

When Sanders fought Vlad he was in the best shape of his career, came in at only 225, had been training for months, was going to fight Valouev in South Africa. Sanders refused to give Vlad a rematch because he knew he could not beat him in a rematch.

Ill tellyta like this, if youd a put Sanders with someone like Manny steward while he was in his 20's, he would have been something else..Someone to teach him better skills to hone his natural talent, and someone to help him keep his eye on the ball, and motivated..

But back to the point of the thread, he IS the hardest punching Southy in HW history

    Yes he was.

Sanders was not allowed a level playing field in amateur of pro fights. Bobby Czyz said it all about him.

Sanders had good speed and some nice pop in his punches but lets not get carried away. He was a very flawed fighter. It's not like if he just stayed in shape he would've been great NO he would'nt have he just wasnt that good. He was sloppy and made alot of mistakes and his chin was shakey. The only fight on his resume that could be called a good win is over Wlad and all of a sudden he becomes a modern day Sam Langford.

Michael Moorer>>>>>>>>>>>> Corrie Sanders (in everyway power, skills, talent ect)

Sanders with a trainer would have been awesome.

Better KO ratio? Yeah, but you are deliberately skewing the facts there - his KO ratio is influenced by all the fights against guys that weighed ~50lbs less than the opponents Corrie was facing.

He was intelligent and knows a lot about boxing. He thought Sanders could not fight at all, but could not believe how good Sanders was, he had fought Holyfield, but Holy did not beat Czyz like Sanders. Sanders was awesome, such talent went to waste.

  15. Seems pretty unlikely. But at least once every few months he is Freddy in Wlad's nightmares.

Still remember Nate Tubbs blasting Corrie in '94.

Corrie is really just evidence that the Klitschkos are the beneficiary a lack of interest in pro boxing (coming out of the US) due to the accession of the NFL, NBA, & MLB.

Sanders isn't athletic, Brewster isn't talented, Purrity wasn't great, and they all have wins over Wlad. Nate Tubbs or dozens of other so-so heavyweights of the past twenty years probably would have given Wlad a life and death struggle (and many of them probably would have knocked him the **** out). It is sort of like being the best athlete when there is a world war going on and everyone but a few were drafted. The current crop of US heavyweights (at least for past half dozen years or there abouts) are all bums. They are the C level athletes that couldn't play any of the big three over here. Beating them means nothing.
