Letting Ruiz get away with all his constant excessive holding and faked low blows is more than enough to justify a NO vote! :nod

the lennoix lewis v razor ruddock is currently on esb on a lewis v bowe thread.

watch when lewis knocks bowe down for the second time and hits bowe with shots when he is down.

cortez says nothing and starts a count.

then listen to his post fight comments last week.

this man does not know what the word consistency means

Lately his standards are deplorable. I was never a fan but his recent run of form has confirmed what I always suspected about Cortez.

This is my main problem with Cortez. Its his inconsistancy. Now i know refferee's ref fights differently to a certain degree; some refs let certain things slide to an extent whilst others pull up fighters for it straight away (which is a whole different discussion which i will not go into now) but the same refferee should keep the same standards for every fight. If you allow excess holding and in-fighting in one fight then you should allow it in all fights that you refferee.

He was solid years ago, but has been poor in recent years.

It took the Mayweather-Hatton fight for a lot of people (Mayweather haters and Hatton huggers being many of them) to realize it, but he was worse in fights like P. Williams-Pakau and Quartey-Bojorquez.

I hate when refs just allow guys to beat the tar out of their opponents way too long.

    Dangerous stuff.

I liked him in the Vargas-DLH fight.

Now he is without a doubt the WORST big fight ref.
