Some people here think so, some people think he never was all that great. Regardless, this post is for the haters and for everyone to recognize who they are.

    I'm calling you out :yep

Jacory Harris has been offered a bet. Lifetime ban for the loser of Cotto vs Foreman. Cotto wins and admin will ban Jacory Harris for life, if Cotto loses im banned. Easy.

This bet is up for any other hater who thinks Cotto is finished and enough guts to put their ESB rep on the line. Talk is cheap so i'm willing to make a lifetime ban bet to get you cowards outta here :deal

I just cant see him being anywhere great at 154 as he was at 147.

His best years are behind him, he may be able to beat Foreman and defend against some mediocre mandatories but he isnt going to make a significant statement in the weightclass.

No he's not YET done but he will NEVER get to the top of the mountain again unless he deletes that Margarito fight :yikes completely from his memory banks. He still hasn't done that and until then, the assumtion is that he is, and will remain SHOT.:good

He can still beat a lot of fighters but after the 2 bad beatings he took and all he's achieved he should retire imo

I just don't think he's all emotionally damaged from the Margarito fight. He took an asswhippin, but I think he's mentally strong enough to overcome that. His problem with Pac had nothing to do with margs.... Pac was just able to capitalize on one fatal flaw that Cotto has in his offense.

I think his best days are behind him now but I'm not sure. Is he actually finished? As in not viable anymore for title contention? I'm undecided. I think he could have a good title fight left in him but I'm not sure about it. He's taken a hell of a lot of damage and seems resistant to coaching at this point, let alone getting a good coach. I would like to see him in a good layoff for longer than they clearly plan on him having though.

He's not done yet but with all the wars he's been in and his beatings againt Pac and Margarito he'll never be the same again.

I don't think he fairs well at 154 though.

I know you made this for the haters, but as a fan id like to voice some of my concerns....

i wouldnt say i think Cotto is FINISHED, not even close.

But if im being honest and not just a fanboy (in which id like to just respond as **** NO HE AINT DONE!!!! lol)

    My concerns
    - I have visually noticed Cottos skills and bearing slip in the ring
    - The move to 154 is not a sign of good things (he made 145, and 146 for his last two fights (and said he felt great), i am not a fan of a fighter moving up in weight when he can comfortably make his divisions limit, especially a short, compact fighter like cotto who relies a lot on his speed)
    - The three at the top of 154 is Williams, Martinez, and in a lesser extent if he gets back on track, is Kirkland..... I just think hes going to run into some serious problems with these world class big boys.

As a BIG Cotto fan, im not going to say im not worried, let me just put it that way. Im intrenched in cottos corner, but im also very wary of his slippage, problems, and that taking control at 154 might be a bit more then he can chew.

Im just trying to be honest, regardless though, im still a fan and i DO believe if Cotto does exactly what is needed (new training camps, new corner, refocus on his skills, find that determination and iron will in the ring again) that he can do whatever he wants at both 147 and 154.

    just imo :good

Honestly I think he´s done. I think he´s done mentally not physically. I wont use the poll becuase he could beat Foreman and still be done. The problem I see with him is that after fighting well if he gets tired, hurt or confused he starts to back off. Early in his career he was capable of fighting and moving, but after the Margo fight he just plains out backs off, and on top of that he doesn´t have a real trainer. He´s thinking of hiring someone now, but for what? his last two fights? I´m rooting for him, but his legacy is practically done by now.

How do I edit the poll? I don't think I made it public, could an admin make the poll public so we know who voted for what
