I've been reading a lot of reports and interviews this week with Miguel Cotto. He seems to be angry with Bob Arum and the "Company", The Margarito fight seems to be really niggling at him at the moment and he walked out of one interview when the Margarito question came up this week. I saw his picture's from a training session this week and to be frank he looked ill, I've read reports about Cotto hitting the bottle after the Margarito loss and struggling with Depression, Ive also read that he's not being afforded the same love from the Puerto Rican people as Tito Trinidad or more recently Juan Manuel Lopez and that the most hyped puerto rican fighter ever is fading in his homeland. The one thing missing in all of this is Michael Jennings who seems to be an afterthought for Cotto right now and could have an even better chance than ever of causing one of the greatest upsets in British boxing history. I'm a huge Cotto fan, although it would be great to see Jennings doing well but Miguel Cotto seems to be carrying such a big load on his shoulders right now it make's me wonder is Cotto focused on Jennings?
I think so. At first he said he had never seen Jennings and had not watched any videos. Lately he has commented that Jennings is a defensive fighter, a good technical fighter, similar to Branco and Otkay Urkal that he already fought. This would suggest he's been studying him. It would be easy to take this fight for granted, but I think he knows Jennings' style well.
Well he better be focused or else Jennings will.........:huh.......oh wait....:think............nah, Cotto will still win anyway.
