Well it looks to me like Margo effectively ended his prime with the beating he gave Cotto. The Cotto of Saturday night was slower handed, easier to hit, and his stamina faded quicker than it has in previous fights. So either he didn't train hard for the Clottey fight, or we're already starting to see the after effects of the Margo pounding he recieved.

Your threads are like the worst, and most simple minded threads to read and answer. You don't even deserve a response from me. Peace...

IMO, He peaked in defeat during the Margarito fight.

HUH? The guy said hisself that he put hisself thru hell to prepare for the Clottey fight. Cotto looked slower? I don't know what your looking at. Maybe it's because Clottey has fast hands and maybe he was easy to hit because of the cut that affected his eye. Either way, he won a fight against a great fighter with a handicap, so if he's on the decline, than that means he was an unstoppable force when he was at his best if that's what your trying to say.

No he is still in his prime. His loss to margocheato is questionable now since margocheato has been caught cheating. He had a big cut in his fight with clottey which affected his performance. Plus clottey is actually a good fighter which i think everyone is forgetting.

    Very well put.

I believe, though, that the win vs Clottey helped him a lot mentally for his future fights. Still, he doesn't seem like the kind of fighter that could go on fighting at an elite level in his mid thirties.

Yes he is. Let's not base this on losing to someone who likely loaded their gloves for that fight and his last fight where he fought with one eye. He may have peaked but is still in his prime.
