Cotto lost to Pacquaio, but if he redeems himself with a victory over Mayweather, will he be ranked P4P #1?

no because he got dominated by Pacquiao. It's the same reason Marquez isn't number 1 now

ESPN would put him as the 1 spot. Ring would put him at the 2 spot.

Writers association would give him the 1 spot as they have Floyd 1.

Cotto would be number #2 behind Manny Pacquiao. Although Cotto is shot, I still give him a chance to expose Floyd.. Mr. Mayweather has fooled the world into thinking he's elite.. HE'S NOT! Cotto might expose him on May 5th.. TUNE IN!

    It...doesn't really work like that.

There is no "golden ticket", no single victory to become the best boxer in the world literally overnight.

There's no way he would be considered P4P#1 when there's a P4P#2 who brutalized his ass 3 years ago.

  11. Why would Cotto be P4P #1 just for beating a washed up hype job ?
Cause u know the excuses are gonna be rolling out that Floyd was inactive yada yada.

    If that happened, it would be 1. Pac/JMM, 2. Pac/JMM, 3. Cotto, 4. Mayweather, 5-7. Ward, Donaire, Sergio, 8. W. Klitschko

    Who knows?

Would Paulie Maglinaggi become pound for pound number one if he went up to heavyweight and ko'd Vitali Klitschko?
