Cotto has won lately Uli....can't really knock him for the loss to PAC and the Marg situation give Cotto a little room to rationalize that particular loss. Not that Marg definitly cheated...No one knows for sure. But with the way things played out regarding his wraps there is a shadow over his win with Cotto.

But let's be real.....the reason this fight hasn't come off is mostly due to the fact that Floyd has found ways to stall or prevent the fight from happeing one way or the other. From Blood testing demands to wanting to get the lion share....at the end of the day the fight should have already taken place.

 

Of course we have a point. I can think of more black guys who have cheated than Mexicans..This doofus is a moron!

 

If you can justfy Cotto getting a shot at a JrMW strap at his first fight at 154 after getting raped, barely getting by a B level fighter, and getting raped again, then surely you can justify Margarito getting a fight and a crack at a strap too. :good

 

Whatever the results, be done with it.

 

There are a lot of people who get a shot at a title who really don't deserve it. Cotto I feel was a good choice given the fact that Miguel is a top fighter.

And Josh isn't a "B" Level fighter. He is a TOP Welter weight in a very deep division. He may not be able to beat the very best but he always gives a good account of himself.....well....aside from Manny.

And I have no problem with Marg continuing to make a living but I do understand Cotto taking the stance that he doesn't want to give Marg a shot only b/c of the way things have played out. As a fighter you take that kind of beating and then find out that the one who bested you had loaded gloves.....I'm guessing not many would give them anther opportunity.

But....I hope Cotto does. I think he can beat Marg in a rematch with Steward manning the corner. If Cotto didn't have Manny in his corner I'd say Marg beats him yet again. This would be a great fight....but I would not fault Cotto if he decided otherwise.

 

Avoiding blood testing would be suspicious if that were the case but Manny wasn't. Matter of fact he has always given blood for his fights but this NEW demand that came out of left field from Team Floyd wasn't something that would be considered "Normal". And the fact that they spread accusations knowing that there was no evidence or foundation to begin with would rub Manny the wrong way and for good reason.

Manny agreed to random testing but had a stipulation on how close to the fight a BLOOD test can be administered. He agreed to random testing 24 days out and one immediately after the fight which would be the most important of the tests. He agreed to random urine testing all the way up to the fight.

Imagine if Shaq accused Kobe of doping, said he was a cheat and his entire career was based on a lie...Then DEMANDED Kobe take test just to clear his name... I'm sure Shaq would get a big "**** OFF" from Kobe and throw up how many championships he's won....which just so happens to be one more than O'neil:yep
