I wonder, if one was to take a look at the posts from a "certain group of posters who shall remain unnamed", BEFORE Floyd signed on to fight him, that said group would be calling Cotto shot, weak, finished, overhyped, etc..?

Now, of course, he has miraculously been glorified by that same group of posters recently for his incredible resume, being a beast, etc.

Would that be accurate analysis to make?

What's your own personal opinion as to whether or not he's shot? Because there are other people who claimed he was still at his best before, and now claim he's shot. Biased observers will always have an agenda.

Cotto is clearly past his prime and has a lot of ring mileage on his body. Cotto didn't take great care of himself between fights and it has shown throughout his career.

hes not shot. Hes a little shop worn, but thats a big difference. He can still pull the trigger and his legs are still good. Past his best, maybe, but not shot.

Na no way not shot, but could be suffering the effects of some brutal poundings. The subject is pretty much a grey area. Physically he looks in great shape and fights well enough to still be considered world class. But then you have shot fighters like Morales still giving young guns like Garcia, Chacon, and Maidana lessons before bowing down and losing not because they are better than El Terrible, but because his own body is failing him and loses his breath, can't pull the trigger, etc.You see this in Mosley too. Morales tho is a legend. Cotto is no where near the greatness of Morales unless he manages to beat Floyd. Shot no, possibly still be damaged goods perhaps.

He has made some technical adjustments as well.
I think he is at his best or pretty close to it but we will know for sure on May 5th.

He is past his best which is obvious, but not shot by any means.

Cotto has had a resurgence against guys who are easy to hit and is on good form, but Floyd's a different proposition. Cotto comes to fight always but i can't see him beating Floyd at all.

Big fan of Cotto as i am Floyd, just hope that they put on a show as they have promised. I don't see why they won't.

Cotto is certainly past his prime. 2004-2007 would be prime Cotto. He is currently 31 and a half years old, which doesn't tell the whole story, but shows he is by no means at an age where fans on principle crave for retirement.

At junior middleweight, he seems comfortable and has looked unquestionably infinitely better in his last three fights at this weight than in the four fights before he jumped up in weight.

  12. ****in love the pac fans

they say floyd fans are the only ones to call a guy a shot and then have their favorite fighter fight them after

like pac fans didnt say "jmm has no business fighting at 147...doesnt belong there and cant carry his skills that high"....only to have pac fight him a few years later at 147......like pac fans didnt say shane was old and shot only to fight him later

yes its only floyd fans who have called a fighter shot to see floyd end up fighting him later....floyd fans are so pathetic!

    No.

The term "shot" is almost exclusively used by *****s here.

Some even said Cotto was shot.
