12oz, actually :good Go do it yourself, use 4oz for all I give a f*ck. The handwraps are already hard as rocks. You aren't getting any more out of a hardened handpad, which is why us fans are the only ones who really care that much about it. Margarito's victims all want an excuse for losing. Guess what? They got hit HUNDREDS of times by a guy who hits really hard and was wearing little 8oz gloves with a professional wrap job. That'll hurt a little. Cotto lost. Cotto quit. Deal with it. PS I already mentioned the benefit is added knuckle protection. Why would he put it in one glove and not the other? I believe the pictures show that it looks to be in the left glove, and Cotto's face is all mangled on the LEFT side (ie where the right hand lands). Think what you want. All I know is what I know. And Margarito was even getting to Cotto in their second fight...
No, Cotto fans actually accept their L's. Only one that was controversial was the Margarito loss which was proven that AM had plaster. Cotto haters can't accept Cotto wins that they bet against him and look like fools. Martinez is handicapped, Mosley is passed his prime, etc etc
Like I said, knuckle protection. Why does Everlast sell hard pads to put in your handwraps? Knuckle protection (fwiw, their hardened ones suck and Winning sells a gel one that's better. Sponge is also decent). He probably had a bum knuckle on his left hand. I fought like that once and it kind of sucks to not be able to hit hard due to the pain. Or maybe is coach thought it would make his punches harder. Why do boxers and trainers do half the dumb sh!t they do
