This is a very bad comparison, especially coming from a Cotto fan. The guys are nothing alike, either stylistically or ethically. Cotto is a clean fighter who has in 1 fight strayed low, which i have no doubt was accidental.

Hopkins deliberately looks to use dirty tactics and is a masterful ring general and technician.

Cotto is a pressure fighter and body destroyer. They break guys in very different ways.

 

If you want to compare Cotto with somebody, he's more along the lines of a Julio Cesar Chavez or an Edwin Rosario.

 

The two are totally stylistically different fighters, and Cotto is not dirty, or even "dirty" in the sense that Hopkins is.

As for the low blow on Zab, that was similar to Maradona scoring with the "hand of god", it was the world punching Zab in the balls for all the stupid **** he has done in his life.

That low blow was the same thing Trinidad did to Vargas when he got hurt.

 

Honestly?? I dont see any comparison between the two!! Different styles, and attitudes.

I respect Miguel , as he seems willing to face the best, and only time will tell who leaves the greater legacy.
