pick cotto to get killed, hell cotto is going to get utterly destroyed by canelo. exciting for 3/4 rounds then its total beat down with cotto laying out by the 7th

cotto is still a GREAT fighter. not question but canelo is better and will be far too much as a few rounds go by. canelo can take way more punishment and can dish out more deadly punishment.

canelo is one of the most under rated fighters for the last couple decades, dude is elite and heading directly to the HOF and a great chance of being a true ATG NOT a Mexican atg a true atg

How about remember GGG’s face vs Monroe? Cotto hits a lot harder than Monroe and has better connect percentage as well

I must be missing something because I swear I don't see it. He sure didn't look elite against Trout, Lara or Mayweather.

Way too much is being made of Cotto's win over a damaged
Geale. GGG's KO of Geale was much more impressive as it
was the only clean shot GGG hit Geale with and it was over.
Cotto had to break Geale down 1st. GGG is looking beatable
because he's trying to hard to impress. The man can switch
gears if need be and will adjust to whatever Cotto brings. Geale
was too nervous and wasted alot of energy moving back, to the
side, and at angles not throwing much. GGG doesn't fight like
that. Hell, all Gena has to do is stand in the pocket and match
Cotto punch for punch and the rican will fold like a bad card hand.
Cotto will have a hard time hurting GGG, but not the other way
around. This fight is a no-brainer if you really understand the
    science.

No, we don't. GGG's face looked fine in the interview. What were
you watching? Anyway, we all saw GGG stand there and ask
monroe to nail him. Those of us who aren't delusional that is.

GGG would decimate Cotto but Freddie wont let Cotto get hurt As a trainer he cares about his fighters They'll never meet

I envision we'd see fireworks early on with both guys landing big shots. I'm am curious to see how Golovkin would take a clean left hook from Miguel. I'm inclined to think that he could probably walk through it but you never know, particularly if he's affected by the catchweight.

Dare I say Hagler - Hearns; it's indeed an unjustly overused precedent when anticipating matchups that have the potential to be instant classic action fights, but I think in this instance, it's not a far fetched comparison. Cotto, under Roach, is more offensively inclined than he has been in the several fights before their collaboration, and GGG is a real life action figure. Hope it happens.

To use an americanism, it's a "bet the farm" type of fight. I don't even need to say who to "bet the farm" on.

    Fight will never happen.

Golovkins insistence that he can even make 154 eliminates any chance Cotto ever steps up. He might not be able to pull off 154, but he has pulled off close to 158 for regular titles so 157 is probably ok for GGG without ending up a Skeletor.

Certainly not a 50/50 ggg is just a naturally larger man that understands how to properly use his advantages. Unlike many posters on here that automatically state claim on cittos inevitable destruction if he were to step in the ring with ggg I can clearly see the extra layers of skill Cotto contains when compared to ggg however this will be blunted by ggg power and accuracy. The telling factor will be how Cotto approaches the fight and if he could dent gennadys chin if cottoncan do that he has a chance.
