im picking Margo to KO cotto.... i have been saying this forever... cotto has shown in his past 3 fights that he gets pelted with uppercuts an has been stunned quite a few time....what is Margos best bunch.... the uppercut i think hell at least floor cotto with an uppercut

    alright to prove my point.

watch that martinez fight from 2003.

martinez wore mexican shorts and probably still regrets it.

cotto was out all guns blazing and creamed the kid in 2 rds.

then he went over to the martinez corner and took the ****. :yep

saturday night was fairly brutal as well.

    margo is tough.

but he hasn't got enuff to beat cotto. :nono

Yes it is, I expect a war from those two great fighters. Why don't get excited about this fight? it will be better than Hoya vs Forbes, at least that's how I see it.

I'm not laughing at your prediction because Margo is quite capable of pulling out a hard earned win. What I'm laughing at is the consistancy in which some posters select winners. I'm not singling you out cdub but you and a couple other posters on this site always seems to either lean towards or pick any fighter that Cotto goes against. I find it hilarious....

cintron also had a higher skill-level, but did it matter??

robinson had a higher skilllevel than basilio.

and on and on and on.

but look at the facts: cotto is more skilled and faster.

margarito is bigger/stronger and has a better chin.

    power is about equal.

looks like a real good fight to me........a fight cotto can lose.

cause we know that margo can take cottos punch. but can cotto take margos???

BOTTOM LINE: NO WELTERWEIGHT IN HISTORY (outside of ray robinson, but just maybe) would CHEW UP MARGO!!!!
he would lose to several, but all would have to suffer for their win.

That would be relevant if he Marg was the type to work behind a jab, and keep shorter fighters at bay with his reach. But we all know he's not that type of fighter. Sebastian Lujan is shorter than Cotto and was landing with regularity for 4 or 5 rounds when he fought Tony.

This will be a much better fight than PBF v Cotto ever will or would be.
