Is Cotto willing to kill himself to make weight just to get a fight with Pac?

My question is, do you guys think Cotto is willing to seriously weight drain himself just to get a fight with Pac?

IMO he has a lot of other options and he doesn't need this fight so if he feels that a certain weight will be to difficult for him he can always go "F*** you, I ain't fighting at that weight".

But if you guys think that Cotto is just desperate to get a big payday against Pac, then maybe he is willing to put himself through hell just to make a certain weight, regardless of how it might affect his performance.

Personally, I think that whatever weight they agree on is ok since it means that both parties feel they can win the fight at that weight (i.e. it's fair game at that weight). I would trust what Cotto decides more than what people in the forums say.

Obviously some people disagree with this (and are very very vocal about it). I'm not here to argue about the catchweights (it's already being done in a zillion other threads, and it's very entertaining), I just want to know if you think Cotto is that dumb or desperate to fight Pac at a weight he knows he can't make without draining himself seriously.

 

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I didn't like the Mosley match up because I felt that Mosley was desperate enough for a big payday to seriously drain himself just to fight Pac.

Cotto I think would be smarter about this, especially since he's still young and still has a good career ahead of him.

 

LOL. Relax man, my opinion is that if Cotto agrees to any catchweight, it means he knows he can make that weight. And if he does agree, it means it's a fair fight and props to the winner.
