By October, dude will be 34 years old. Without a signature win over Manny or Spence, there’s nothing worth mentioning about his career.

Hasnt shown that yet imo. But maybe he just hasnt needed to, given the level of his opposition.

But until he shows more, no I dont think hes on Mays level, skillwise.

PBF was one fighter fast combos, offensive minded, cumulative knock out power, very aggressive.
Money was a whole different fighter, defensive minded, countering offense, ring generalship, figuring fighters out quickly.
I dont know of any fighter other than Ali that completely transformed their fighting styles in one career. This requires extraordinary skill and abilty that must be acknowledged and appreciated.

Floyd can walk power punchers down behind a high guard on the front foot
He can outbox p4p talents by disecting them from the outside
He can fight with his back off the ropes
Or hold his own at center ring

He has multiple forms or offense and multiple forms of defense, and knows when to use what.

But most importantly, hes shown it against calibre fighters Bud doesnt even think about fighting.

Crawfords resume is rather pathetic given the context of this comparison, how highly hes rated, and how old he is.

That anyone compares him to Floyd with a resume like that seems somewhat laughable.

Everyone seems like supermen when they are fighting overmatched opponents.

I don't think he's as skilled or efficient as the PBF version of Floyd and i don't think he's as ring smart as the Money Mayweather version of Floyd.

He's somewhere close to the Money Mayweather version of Floyd in terms of skill set. He's got a bit more up his sleeve offensively than Money Mayweather but overall his lateral movement isn't as good and he gets hit by shots i don't think Floyd would get hit by.

i think it comes with being an A level fighter, never mind elite level. you should possess the knowledge and ability to exploit an opponents weakness, or to emphasize your strengths. floyd is not unique in that respect, top fighters do it all the time. floyd changed to a style better suited to a guy with very long reach and brittle hands. thats why it was one career and then another.

recently, fury in his 2 wilder fights, both canelo and ggg in their 2 fights, valdez vs berchelt, spence vs mikey...
    historically, too many to count..

There’s a rumor that he might sign with Arum again. If that’s true, he might be more deluded than Wilder
