They both have different styles of fighting so it's not easy to compare and contrast. But I don't think that Crawford is now at the same level as Floyd was. Floyd beat big name fighters a lot more than Crawford did. You can't deny this.

LOL @ Crawford being a better counter-puncher than Floyd. Floyd's one of the best counter-punchers of all time.

The answer is no. Always will be a no. Crawford is there to be hit, has been hit. Bud has a good chin tho so he can take the shots. Floyd was tagged a few times in his time but also had a good whiskers. But Floyd's defense was all time. Plus too, Floyd's resume was against the top of the heap. Bud cant get those fights vs the best. For whatever reason, he doesnt fight the top top to really show his skills. Floyds skills were put to the test vs the best of his time. Crawford is missing out on those fights.

Not the biggest FMJ fan (despise him actually). But I don’t believe Floyd would have ever gotten dropped like Crawford did against Egis (Unless Floyd fought massive punchers at 54 or 60).

That alone should display the difference between the two.

Not at all. I don't think Crawford does a single thing better than a prime Mayweather. Maybe he's stronger? Hard to say since Floyd had multiple hand injuries from an early age and put a premium on getting fighters out of there with an accumulation of shots rather than sitting down on his punches. He did carry about a 70% KO rate for his first 27 fights as a SFW.

It's odd to see how Floyd is viewed in this forum. I guess since he was outside of his prime the last 10 years of his career and was cruising through the opposition in a "boring" manner that some people don't give him the credit he deserves. The moment Roy Jones' athleticism waned was the moment he was getting knocked out left and right by subpar fighters. The moment Floyd's athleticism waned, his ring IQ began to shine more than it ever did during his prime.

I just watched Crawford-Mean Machine again. Even though Crawford finished that fight strong, he looked bad imo. Mean Machine’s patience threw him off his game and he was inaccurate with his punches and got caught in exchanges. He’s a good fighter, but just on the eye test alone, Floyd was a superior athlete with better speed, reflexes, timing, punching accuracy, and ring IQ. I give Crawford the edge when it comes to killer instinct and being able to switch stance.

    Crawford is 33 years old

    Has no signature wins

    Is scared of Errol Spence

and lives under Bob Arum's desk

how dare you compare him to Floyd when Floyd's GREATEST victory was paying his way out of his Arum contract.
