If Spence and Crawford are average, what does that make Quartey and Vernon, and Benitez

I know you're troll but it's called context. the fighters you name were battle tested in a far deeper era. Crawford and Spence are weight bullies who haven't fought another elite talent. they haven't fought each other.

Porter, Gamboa, Khan, and Brook are "elite" for this era

    Not really no....
I think we have different definitions of what elite is....
Khan had elite speed but was never an elite boxer in any version of reality.

Oscar struggled against Pernell and Quartey, who is a tier below Thurman, Spence, and Crawford

He is in the Mosley, Forrest and Oscar range. Pernell , Tito, Leonard, Duran are a different class. Manny is in not in the same class as Leonard, Duran, Tito and Mayweather. Let us remember Tito was undefeated at Welterweight and Junior Middleweight fought and beat the best only eventually losing to B-Hop in the undisputed unification fight at Middleweight. What a fighter what a man Tito was, I love him.
