Was 140 a weak division, or was Crawford just a level above everyone else there?

Honestly, when comparing both, I think Danny and Tszyu have much better resumes at 140 compared to Crawford. You could also argue Chavez and Pryor.

P4P #1 in a weak era of boxing full stop where people refuse to fight each other and Inoue gets props for beating everyone in Japan. If Fury had balls, Usyk would be number 1. Crawford has a weak resume in comparison to Usyk and Inoue’s is even weaker than Bud’s. Teo has a better resume than Bud & Inoue.

Let's be honest did any of the fighters I list go against the fighter like Crawford who possesses the perfect combination of offense defense and killer instinct?

One big performance doesn’t make you SRL.

There is too much distortion in perception. How many welters 25 years ago had a marketable name? How many are there now?

Nobody cares about boxing now so there aren't enough casuals to hype fighters. This is falsely interpreted as "The fighters back then were better" and no matter what you say, you can't change people's minds. Does anyone honestly think Mean Machine wouldn't stand a chance against the likes of Coley, Oba Carr, Vernon Forrest, Wilfredo Rivera? (all top 10 guys at one point) If you don't think he would then I don't think you're being very realistic.

Name a fighter Crawford fought as good as SRL, or Duran, or Hearns, or Hagler. He is not proven like any of those names.

Crawford had one big fight now. He is just getting started to be considered at that level.

Boxing fans are so desperate to finally have a big WW fight like from the days of The Fabulous Four.

Sorry Spence - Crawford wasn’t it.

Unless you want to compare it to Duran- Leonard II.

Respect to Spence he went out on his shield, but he did not look healthy before the fight.

The whole knucklehead “no excuses” response to that. What’s that? Boxing IQ?

Hard to get one of those classics when the guys are well into their thirties.
