Crawford, now at 147 himself, reminds me the sensational 1980's P4P talent Donald Curry in more ways than one, right down to his great size at the weight & a mean streak that includes instantly returning fouls.

I'm going to keep it fairly brief as I just wanted to see if anyone else had pangs of watching the Lone Star Cobra while watching Crawford ply his wares?

Not really the best fight to show as a comparison as Nino is ultra mobile & fleet of foot, but among other things it's my only upload containing Curry. Good enough.

I always wondered why Curry isn't in the HOF.

He will be, eventually. One of those glaring exceptions that fans almost universally agree with. I think it takes a bit of knowledge about the recent past of the sport and not everyone really cares about what happened in the 80's, you know?

Another guy that should be inducted is Michael Nunn. Great fighter and 2x lineal champion at middleweight and super middleweight.

Nunn had such a massive frame, I believe he actually fought to around the old school cruiser limit with mild success. Incredible fighter. His casual knockout of Roldan and 1 round sparking of Kalamby are some of the best wins of the 80's.

Let's get back to the present. Do you think Crawford can beat Spence and Thurman?

Thurman yes, the Spence fight is a 55/45 affair and it's simply going to come down to how they each perform on that given night, if they are to fight, as to who is going to win. I feel it's that close of a bout, sublime skills and abilities vs massive size, pressure and power. The Kell Brook fight is a pretty accurate bout to look at in regards to how a Crawford/Spence fight would go, in my opinion.

Aren't you the same guy who convinced someone on here that betting on Turbo Terry Flanegan yesterday was a good idea?

I feel Thurman has a better chance than Spence due to his style. In the Gamboa fight, Crawford was having trouble with the speed and angles in which Gamboa was throwing punches.

With speaking of second comings. Spence has always reminded me of Marvin Hagler.

I might favor Thurman if he was active and you could be sure he'll be optimally sharp. Injuries and time out can take a lot out of a fighter.
