Is Crawford vs Spence A Top 5 ATG Performance At 147?

I agree w/ most of your points, especially the revisionism over Spence's form. I think the Ugas fight proves he could still take a punch vs. an opponent who, while no hofer, was still a legit good fighter w/ respectable power.

Having said that, when you consider combined significance & dominance, I think you can still find @ least 5 wins in ww history that equal or surpass Crawford's. For example:

Walker-Britton: a young upstart sends a shockwave thru the fistic world by thrashing 1 of the most respected fighters of their era.

McLarnin-Corbett: McLarnin decimates a hofer who was elite across 2 full weight classes & only has 1 other verifiable stoppage loss in a career spanning well over 100 fights.

Armstrong-Ross: a long-reigning hofer/atg gets thoroughly dominated by an opponent ostensibly jumping up 2 full weight classes.

Zivic-Armstrong 2: Zivic reportedly dominates & manhandles Armstrong in a fight that Hank was still slightly favored to win.

SRR-Gavilan 2: According to reports, Robi ended up putting a fair amount of distance between himself & a fellow atg @ the weight.

Napoles-Griffith: Napoles dominates an atg/hofer who only recently held the mw title & would continue to be a contender/challenger @ mw for years afterward.

Hearns-Cuevas: Maybe the most jaw-dropping win ever @ 147, akin to a lower-weight Foreman-Frazier IMO. Nobody was ever supposed to be able to do that to Cuevas.

Honeyghan-Curry: a supposed candidate for p4p king gets humbled by a relatively unheralded upstart from across the sea.

Pacquiao-DeLaHoya: while not so surprising in retrospect, many people @ the time didn't think Pacquiao even belonged in the same ring vs. even an aging DeLaHoya.

In the end, I think Crawford's win has a case for a top 10, but potentially falls short of a top 5 spot.
