Is Cruiserweight the most talented division in Boxing right now?

I think 175 is quiet deep too, Stevenson,ward,kovalev,bivol,fonfara,gvodsyk,cleverly,breamher and a few other Russians and ee fighters

200 doesn't get no where near enough recognition though

 

It's one of the hottest right now, but without US coverage and the bad name it has, uninformed fans will still call it weak.

 

Gassiev is listed twice. Cruiserweights are starting to get some TV time in the states, better thank Al Haymon.

 

He tends to only show american cruisers and they all get smashed to peices. Cruiserweight is an eastern European division

 

Lebedev has great boxing skills but according to many here he's a crude puncher.

 

Glowacki as well, underrated skills.

 

Great post, completely agree on Lebedev/Drozd. Two very talented, very seasoned boxers with tremendous power. The division has always been talent filled and underrated but It always lacked a big star. Guys like Gomez, Adamek and Haye had the potential to be the champion to bring the reputation to the division but they all chose to chase money at heavy. Hopefully Usyk will become the star to bring the deserved attention to the division.

In addition to guys you mentioned, Ryad Merhy, Imre Szello, Michal Cislak, Yves Ngabu, Isa Akerbayev, Constantin Bejenaru are another talents worth keeping an eye on.

 

Which is why nobody really cares about the division. I mean, you can try to hype it up but the division has a reputation of having fighters that cannot cut it at heavyweight. Getting TV time in the states, and Glowacki was on free TV btw, being introduced to a US audience, that counts for something.

 

Flyweight has more talent at the top but cruiser has better depth & is more entertaining

Ryad Merhy will be the next prospect to get in title contention imo

Did you find the last notable cruiserweight fight (that happened last week), Kalenga vs Dorticos boring? You didn't even saw that fight but you claim that the division is boring. That's why you are one of the worst posters on this forum.

Anyone who are not aware of the excitement and quality of the cruiserweight division need to watch these 3 fights.

 

Yep, all of these fights were great. But you won't convice these type of posters like cereal monotony. They will claim every division is boring or a bumland where there is no good American fighter currently.
