Thanks, I knew I'd forgotten some. Hernandez has been in a bunch of good ones. Pretty sure I've seen all of those ones you listed of his.

I can't remember why now but for some reason I was only half paying attention when I watched Drozd vs Masternak. I'll have to watch it again because I seem to recall thinking it was pretty one sided in Drozd's favour.

I've watched a few of his interviews before after hearing good things about him. Last night was the first time I've actually seen him in action though. He looks pretty promising. Was very impressed with his counter punching.

Cruiser and flyweight are clearly the two strongest divisions in boxing, atm. Toss up as to which one is stronger.

Usyk is a great ATHLETE. He is based in Moscow, like Droizd and Lebedev though, and I would assume they've done some sparring.

Now my guess is, (and I have nothing to coroborate it) that the reason they are taking their time with him is that sparring hasn't gone...like the expected.

Cruiser is very entertaining but Flyweight is the best at the moment.

I dunno, man. I think Flyweight has the better champions, but top to bottom Cruiser might have a bit more depth.

How do you know that Usyk is based in Moscow? I for one would be very surprised given that he is an Ukrainian patriot who doesn't seem to like the Russians.

Not sure. I know flyweight is a stronger division than cruiserweight, but I don't know if cruiserweight is better than light heavyweight. LHW has two p4p fighters, Ward and Kovalev.

LHW is not very deep. Cruiserweight is arguably the deepest division out of all

The drop-off is fairly precipitous once you get past the first couple of fighters, though. Alvarez, Chilemba et al are solid but not spectacular.

In terms of depth throughout the Top 10, I'd say flyweight and cruiser still have it over LH, at this moment.

Yeah, but then you have very good prospects/contenders who are all moving fast.

    Bivol
    Gvodzyk
    Beterbiev
    Shabranskyy
    Salamov
Yildirim (But I think he might be moving down to SMW)
    Benavidez
    McCumby

Some of these guys already proved they are a threat to the top fighters, no doubt. I think in a few years it's going to be a very good division.

I don't rate any of the cruiserweights much other than Usyk, but they are all entertaining.

I think it's a toss up between Flyweight and Light Heavyweight.
Ward, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Stevenson, Gvozdyk, Bivol, Shabranskyy
and then second tier guys like Suhotsky, Sillakh, Alvarez, Barrera, Braehmer
    ..That is a beast.

Flyweight is the clear victor out of Cruiser and Fly IMO.

You're right, I was distracted thinking about something else, unrelated when I wrote that post.
