It´s stupid to compare Haye with Sanders. You even mentioned one of the reasons. Sanders was a southpaw. He was bigger than Haye and much more dangerous cause of his willingness to make it a fight. Totally different styles. Haye had that safety first mentality. It´s hard to win against Wlad without going a risk. Sanders always took risks, that´s why he lost to Rahman and Nate Tubbs.

Sanders had Rahman in big trouble in that fight before he got tagged, in his next fight Rahman blasted out Lewis with no trouble at all. It's likely if the Rahman fight had went Sanders way he would have blasted out that same lacklustre Lewis, very likely in fact.

 

And that´s the reason why Sanders would lost to Wlad in a rematch. Wlad learned with Emanuel Steward to outbox opponent, to held the distance with the jab. Wlad of today is much more fast with his feet and fists.
