Is Dan Henderson on the verge of being the American ATG?

    I was just looking over Hendo's resume and it reads like a who's who list of MMA. He has fought everyone out there and beaten most of them. All he needs is a UFC title to put a perfect ending to his career. I say he needs to get Jones next.

    Hendo is American and an ATG. There is no need for this thread. Hendo was, is and always will be a bad mother****er.

    On the verge? What chu talking bout Willis? That dudes already an ATG. Henderson is a ****ign stud. Plus he's my favourite fighter on UFC undisputed. No one can defend my take downs!!

    You're not reading the title, fellas. I didn't ask if he was an ATG. I asked if he is THE ATG - as in GOAT (Greatest Of All Time for those that don't l33tspeak) from US of A.

    No. A victory over Fedor in the decline of his career isn't enough to make him the GOAT despite beating the GOAT. We all know what would have happened if they had faced each other prime for prime. Either way Hendo does have a very good claim as being the best American MMA fighter of all time. Id certainly have him top of my list.

    And still going at 40+ is even more impressive, I thought after the Shields fight he was finished but came back up to 205 and is back on top of his game. I think the weight cut to MW was too much for him to be effective.

    True but he gets props because of his age and size and he had to be the underdog I think.
