He's just a good but not great fighter. Nothing new with that and nothing embarrassing about it either.

LOL @ Khan "dominating" him until Garcia got "lucky". Khan was up by a whopping margin of 2 rounds to zero, and neither were dominating rounds. Khan always throws his fast flurries and people go "look at his boxing skills, he's so dominant!" lol

Garcia always looks to time and land his left hook. Khan makes a gazallion technical errors when he fights. People capitalize on it, and it's "he got lucky" or "Khan got too macho!"

Umm, it's because Khan isn't defensively responsible and got caught.

Past prime, not shot. Judah came off a TKO win over Paris, Morales off a win over Cano and a close debatable loss to Maidana.

Former world champions, I didn't say they were stellar but they're names. Holt was coming off a TKO win over Julio Diaz, a lot better than Porter and Khan managed years later.

Garcia has a strong resume for his age, not HOF yet, but he's 2/3rds of the way there.

I don't think garcia is ruined. He's still learning on the job, remember how green he looked in the first morales fight? I think a lot of the problem is guys are fighting against him differently. When an intelligent gameplan is used against him - he looks average. When someone goes to war with him he wins in a shootout. I think he has a long way to go until we can call him elite.

Just because a lot of people thought Peterson and Herrera didn't stand a chance, doesn't mean they were cherry picked. They proved to be legit threats, and stylistically, they are. With that said, doesn't that mean that Garcia is taking on tough opposition?

Garcia is a solid fighter, you don't beat guys like Matthysse and Khan without having some skill. I thought he beat Peterson fairly handily, however it had more to do with what Peterson didn't do as opposed to what Gatcia did do.

    Spot on.

Matthyse had a serious hype train behind him going into that fight, they were both well and truly in their primes and Garcia beat him fair and square.

That said, he DID lose to Herrera.

The guy obviously isn't a bum, just struggles with certain styles.

    - beat a one eyed Matthyse (eye-shut from 6th round)

    - Peterson, drug cheat, hometown victory over Khan. Who has he beat?

For real...Khan makes so many errors in there and has never been a defensive whiz, to say the least. Garcia always looks to time his opponent and land his left hook.

Garcia does it against Khan, who was up by a whopping margin of 2-0 (not even dominant rounds either) and wins.

    "Lucky punch!!" LOL

Being that Garcia handled Matthysse at his peak and Khan one fight removed from his despite how you view Garcia, wow, says how little you think of Matthysse and Khan.
