Is Danny Garcia still relevant to the Welterweight division?

140 was a very weak division then, look at who has been world champions in that division lol, and Danny was Danny 'Gift' Garcia in that division.. funny how not one person apart from me is mentioning the fact he should have losses to C/D Level fighters in Herrera, Theophane, and Peterson.

I see Danny Garcia as the same level as Bryant Jennings, Isaac Chilemba, Sullivan Barrera, Liam Smith, Austin Trout, Andre Berto, Lee Selby. Just a straight C level average fighter. I really don't understand how some people overrate him, plenty of times I've watched him in the ring looking very ordinary.

Taking them the distance would be an achievement in your book would it! LOL. he would lose every round, it would be embarrassing, his Dad would be crying. You would see a clear difference in levels. That's the only thing he has that's above average - a chin.

Abner Mares, Miguel Roman, Richard Comney, Anthony Crolla, Robert Easter Jr, Maurice Hooker, Jeff Horn, Julian Williams, Rob Brant, Rocky Fielding, Dillian Whyte - they are all in the top 6 of their divisions and they are all C level!

very USA biased list. Vargas is straight garbage, and Khan is a joke. Where is Kavaliauskas, Ugas, Lejarraga, Abdukakhorov, Besputin, Lipinets.

Garcia will always give a guts and bloods fight and while he lacks in skills/speed department he compensates very much in the other departments. He is much more likeable a fighter to me than the roided spence/thurman etc.

Danny Garcia is so passionately hated, he is one of the most underrated fighters of the last decade. Maybe the most. Of course he is still relevant.

I never understood the huge amount of hatred Danny got. Sure, he cherry picked a couple fights (which fighter hasn't?), but he's faced two of the top WW's, after being the 140 Champ.

No he's actually the most OVERRATED fighter of the last decade! If he had a foreign sounding name from Europe or Asia he would have been labelled as a bum and would be hardly talked about.

Two close fights. And that's funny to you? o_O

It's clear you aren't someone to take very serious here.

they were fair decisions and not close to me, he did nothing in the Thurman fight. Those two aren't even the best in the division, imagine what Crawford and Spence would do to him.

I'm just telling the truth mate.. if you think an average fighter like Danny garcia can be compared to top fighters in the sport, then neither are you to be taken serious.

Danny is a solid fighter. I would rate him a B fighter. He'll give anyone in the top 10 a good scrap. His chin is solid as well.

    Thurman out fought him. Barely.
Garcia lost to himself against Porter.

He needs to make a change. He has one more run for a title in him.

GGG is already in the hall of fame mate, and Spence hasn't beaten much but the hype is justified cause he looks the goods.

Thurman hasn't fought for nearly 2 years!! How are people supposed to keep talking about a guy who never fights and has nothing scheduled. We may never see him in the ring again.

No, actually, you're just giving your opinion. Not truth or facts. Your 'imagination' doesn't make things a reality.

Like I said, you are in the minority if you think Danny was just a C level fighter. You may get some braindead haters to agree with you, but that's about it.
