Is Danny Jacobs a bigger threat to GGG than Lemieux was?

    Cuz i don't think so.

Lemieux has similar power as Jacobs and boxing skills aside, one crucial thing that Lemieux has over Jacobs is the chin. Lemieux got stopped by GGG but not knocked out whereas as Jacobs got dropped by feather fisted Sergio Mora. How the hell are some people saying that Jacobs will do better than Lemieux?

If Mora can drop Jacobs, you can bet that a standard power punch from GGG is gonna floor Jacobs. Lemieux would never get dropped by Mora.

    Your thoughts?

No, in fact I'd put money on Lemieux KOing Jacobs cold.

Styles make fights and Lemiuex can be outboxed by someone with good movement as he was against a former LMW in Acline who was then KOed in 1 round against Mackin and had been previously TKOed in 1 round against Angulo not too long before. Lemieux's power may be overrated also.

Jacobs has only been beat by Pirog so its hard to gauge them as we will never find out what potential Pirog had. Jacobs can box better than Lemiuex so he may have a better shot on delivering his power.

I think he is, because of the speed and explosiveness. But that is not to say that Jacob will necessary beat leumiux. Style make fight.

Like I always say, GGG is the most "perfectly basic" fighter since Kostya Tszyu. All trolling aside those 2 are the most stylistically similar fighters ever. Jacobs would have to be fearless and fight GGG head on like Hatton did Tszyu.
He does not have the chin to fight like that and he does not have the Roy Jones athleticism to dodge punches for 36 minutes either. I want Jacobs to win but I can't see where he really has a chance unless he has the perfect gameplan.

I think jacobs might be a bit better than David L defensively, he also has a longer reach and height advantage over GGG.

In other words I think I'd bet more on Jacobs than Lemeiux, but I don't really see Jacobs winning.

Don't disagree with that comparison at all, I've thought that for years, the only catch is GGG has a far better chin than Tszyu, Kostya like GGG was never outboxed, he only lost by KO, and he was ahead in both those matches at the time of the stoppages, both RTD and TKO.

No, he's not better than Golovkin in any area. Lemieux arguably enjoyed a slight power advantage. He poses no threat to GGG.

Certainly not now. He hasn't even signed the contract yet.

Danny Jacobs is better than Lemieux. Lemi has bigger one punch KO power though.
