Is Danny a real world champion who deserves a better split ?

They didn't cherry pick anyone. They knew that Pirog was a dangerous fighter.

It seems the overwhelming consensus here is a regular title is just a glorified no1 contender, I wonder if this is only situational and many of you flip flop just because you like a fighter or not.............?

30 would be acceptable but I don't think 25 is out of order at all. I always thought the idea of that Regular belt was just to get you a shot at the actual champ, not to try and dictate purses. I don't see what else Jacobs really has to go for at this stage and maybe I'm being a bit old school in thought but getting a chance to become 'the man' at a weight should be a big deal too.

He is entitled to 25% but GGG team needs to learn to give a little so why not bump Danny to 30% max and get the fight on the books.

Danny KO'd PQ who you can argue is more dangerous than anyone on GGG's current resume excluding a WW Brook. I don't see why he can't get a 40/60 split. I'm shocked only one person has mentioned this....the objectivity on these boards stink.

Danny brings money to the table. When you bring money to the table, you deserve to get some.
Tyson Fury made 5 million pounds for fighting Wladimir. Why? Because he is a draw. Hes resume is thin.

Jacobs is about as real as GGs defense record, either way it's hard to say who's right GG should give a little to make a better quality fight at the same time if it comes down to it for Jacobs the short money now may be worth it if he won.

Danny should do something no GG fans asks of Glovokin and that is make a concession for a better fight, a lost concept nowadays.

Why is GGG the number one contender and for what title is he the number one contender for?

Well I can only speak for myself but I've never counted an interim/regular champ as a legit belt holder.

Until they hold that orgs highest belt, they can't call themselves a genuine world champion in my eyes.

I don't count Golovkin's interim title defences as proper world title defences either.

Because they knew Team Jacobs had no intention of taking the fight this December. This setting a precedent of caving on the split helps no one.

Danny's trainer was happy to go on record saying they hadn't even thought about entering camp for a December fight and that he wouldn't let him fight on the 10th no matter what.

That's enough for me to know that they didn't want this fight.

But they're still negotiating for early 2017 so I don't get what you're saying. Forget about everything else. That man deserves more than 25% Sugar and you know it. Keep it G.
