Is Darchinyan doing a "Naz" impression?

After the KO loss against Donaire, Darchinyan vowed to come back with vengeange. He then took on the overmatched, yet under-rated Catubay for his comeback fight.

It was supposed to be a comeback fight that would showcase that he is back, yet he had been KDed ithis fight.

Darchinyan's confidence is in tatters. Testament to this was his statement after the Catubay fight, "I'm happy to get this win. I want to win my world title but I'm not yet sure about a re-match with Donaire.'' For a slugger whose intimidation factor is probably more than 50 percent of his fight (like Tyson), if he does not have his confidence, then it's retirement time.

Parallelism appears in Naz' career. fter his loss to MAB, he was never the sameagain. You could probably say that he lost his confidence or mojo or whatever after that fight.

Retirement is a big word considering this is his bread and butter. He can still make decent money and get good paydays even if he can't beat the elite (which i'm not saying is the case)

Retirement, figuratively and not in literal sense, but probably fighting against the elites.

I'd rather see him fight tomato cans then fight the elite. Then when he does get that chance at a rematch, I'd like to see him get starched again.

Why get washed up early when you can prolong your career?

We all know he's been exposed.

He can make money easily if he fights Arce. They are both lost but still they both very exiting fighters to watch.
Also Vic was KO'd for real, not like some questionable TKO, so of course he needs his confidence restored.

It's a precipitous fall for a guy who goes around knocking everyone out to being viciously knocked out himself. I like the Naz example. People were walking out of his last fight vs. Calvo. It was that bad.

Darchinyan was like a neighborhood bully who was beating everyone up. One of his victims got their brother to beat him up and he never showed his face in that 'hood again.

The irony is that the YOUNGER brother did the revenge.

I think the top 115 fighters will give trouble, especially the 2 mexican champions at the weight. Vic gets beat by both of these guys.

There are parallels between the two. Obviously Naseem was better as he is a potential HOFer, but he was never the same after the Barrera fight. We'll just have to wait and see how Vic's career goes...

He wasn't knocked down, whoever said that is full of ****.

He knocked the Cautaby guy down in the 7th and 11th though before stopping him in the 12th.

It's a first fight after a huge KO loss, give him a break.

    1. Donaire destroyed him mentally
    2. Hes too small for 115
    3. Hes been exposed

Exactly, its amazing as soon as he loses 1 fight by KO, everyone comes out claiming how **** he is.
If he is so ordinary how come he knocked out Wandee Singwancha top ranked WBC Flyweight Thai contender twice, previously undefeated world champ Irene Pacheco, previously undefeated Mexican Luis Maldonado etc.

Give me a break, all these Philipino nuthuggers.

If you are trying to bash someone/some group, at least use the correct spelling. It's Filipino nuthuggers.
